 Subject: 1985 ram stats

Due to a towing job, 1985 4x4 ram with 90k actual mi and perfect mechanically, transmission shot. Tower claiming life of tranny 100k mi and only pay 10%. It was 100% when towed! Need info. about max tranny lifespan. Any ideas where to look? THanks

100,000 mile tranny life on a 727 is a load of B.S. The one I pulled out of my '86 Ram had 265,000 on it and still worked great.Sounds like it never had the fluid changed or overheated from too small of a tranny cooler or the kick-down linkage was out of adjustment and it fried the clutches .
