I FOUND AN ARTICLE ABOUT IMPROVING A STOCK TB. IT BASICALLY SAID MILL THE TOP FLAT,BORE FROM THE BUTTERFLIES UP,AND MAKE THE SHAFT THAT HOLDS THE BUTTERFLIES THINNER.HAS ANYONE TRIED THIS?IS IT WORTH DOING. I'M LOOKING FOR A CHEAP WAY TO IMPROVE THE TB. 93CC V8 2WD GIBSON 3 IN.EXHAUST MODIFIED COLD AIR W/ K&N

Works pretty good make sure that you get rid of that lip in front of the butterflies.

cw-- what is the best way to open the ports above the butterflies? ifound someone at a machine shop to mill the top of the tb.do i want him to take EVERYTHING off the top of the tb so it is flat?

Just make sure that you don't grind anything out from the area around the butterfly.

One of my relatives got a dremel tool for Christmas... Doh! A really nice one too, with the cable extension so that you can hang the tool, attach the bits to the cable and work with it.
