 Subject: IAT Adjuster Install Locations

I was trying to get some ideas on where to install the IAT Adj. Box inside the cab? I have seen some installed in the center console on a Dakota with bucket seats. How about a location for a QC with a bench seat that looks professionally installed? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I put it in the glove box just so the dealers wont see it.

I mounted it to the bottom of the dash right above where the "tool tray" is in the floor console. Used automotive double sided tape. But had to sand the point of adhesion on the dash as well as the IAT box. Since doing that it has been solid ever since.

installed mine in the ash tray this week.drilled a small hole through the back of the ash tray,lower right hand corner, and through the back wall it comes out right behind the glove box, fished through the rubber grommet beside the ac duct work and out to the engine compartment.can't see it, it's lighted besides I don't smoke.

Thanks for the info guys. Mike, I was looking at the ash tray on mine but would have to modifiy it to make it fit. On your year of truck did you have to modify the tray itself to make it fit?

The adjuster fits in length wise.I think the modification to make it fit right was the hole I drilled at the lower right hand corner of the ash tray to feed the wires through. do this and it will slide right in.it will not fit in with out a hole.well it will fit if you cram it in but the wires crimp up and out the top of the ash tray.good luck.btw it will have a light on it at night when you open the ash tray, added bonus.

dude,
i placed mines right by the ashtray. its like sticking out there. i always have my passengers ask about it. i had to use superglue later cause it would fall off. hope that helps.
