Subject: Dunner or any one else on fuel return
IP: Logged

Message:
I saw that Dunner has a cooling system on his injector rails and was thinking of going to a fuel return system on his 4.7.

I see that the fuel on the 4.7 comes in on the left hand fuel rail and there is a schrader valve on the right hand side. If you were to hook up a line to the schrader valve on the right hand side and run it to the tank you could use it for the return line and not have to modify the exsisting fuel rails.

The problem I am having is how to get rid of the regulator on top of the tank, then find a adjustable one to put on in the return line.
What do you think? Any problems you can foresee?

I haven't figured out exactly how I will do it..... or even done much research on it just yet. I'm interested in how others have handled this also.

Well I found lots of regulators but don't know how to get rid of the in tank regulator. Guess I will have to do some research. There are some pumps at work I will have to dissect them to find out what is used fo pressure regulation. I think it is in the filter on the top of the tank.

Email Scott Quaranta at mquarantaca@earthlink.net
he has a custom fuel return system on his truck, and say he will sell the parts needed to anyone wanting to do it.
