My dad works for a local Chrysler Dealership and he told me that Chrysler has commishoned Kenne Bell to build the PCM for the 4.7 Dakotas. It is to be sold through Kenne Bell. Supposidly Chrysler sent them all the specs to build the computer. Hope this is helpful information.

All 4.7's or just the 2001 (I have a 2000)? I wonder if you will be able to tow with the new one. If not oh well. Guess i'll be out of luck on the one. Or just do PCM swapping everytime I decide to tow something.

Yeah that is US. I aways talk in US dollars and miles on this board.
For the TPS adjustment look at www.speedtweaks.net in the tips and tricks section. I have no idea on the IAT yet it hasn't been above 50 degrees since I bought this truck.

I talked to KenneBell about thier PCM and he assured me that on a bone stock dakota it produces 10rwhp. On a discouraging note,if yours has the 98 mph cut off the computer will not eliminate it. According to Chrysler the ones that cut off at 98 mph have a weaker drive line and it is cut off there for reliability. If you have the one that cuts off at 112 mph it will eliminate that one.I talked to my dad about the cut off and he told me that they were having problems with the transmission spinning the rear seal and blowing all the fluid out and burning up the transmission. I think I amgoing to slurge for one none the less. They also have a set of shorty headers at KenneBell that produce 12 rwhp and 20 ft lbs of torque. I know statign this will probably offend some people but KenneBell stated they they tested several manufacturers bigger throttle bodies on the 4.7 and did not gain any horsepower on thier dyno. Just telling ya'll what they said and thought I would pass it on. Anways have a good one

I had the IAT in the summer and yes it makes a difference, the truck pulls stronger when its hot out downside is it only makes a diff when its hot out,WTF is with kenne bell and his no show website its like the guy doesnt want business, send them an email they never reply, the 4.7 is highly tunes for the mechanicals that come with it headers I doubt will do much and same for the throttle bodys, the only mod I`ve done and had a increase was the mbrp exhaust, the z-tube was nil except for higher rpms,my opinion until we get diff internals i:e pistons ,cams and heads most of the other mods are worthless, except if ATI or powerdyne comes out with a well built and well thought out supercharger for the 4.7

so there is actually an increase from headers? alot of cars benifit none from throttle bodies. however the 4.7l is shaped so oddly that simply boring it out to a strait transition would probably benifit more than a new throttle body.

10 rwhp doesn't the iat controller ad 8hp.
i read last night that the 4.7 runs an 11.1 to1 air to fuel ration for 1st threw 3rd gear and 14.7 to 1 for 4th gear. is this true? seems theres probably 10hp in a fuel computer.
since the auto's shift points seem almost perfect.

Now why would DC release a Performance PCM that conflicts with there TSB D-16-00,Thats why they gave away the seven year warranty they don't plan to back it up,If you do anything performance wise they will kick back there warranty repair. The news letter I get from DC said they were in the process of of releaseing a new trans to replace the 45RFE,By the way where do you get the ATF4+ when the dealer dos't have it,My rear seal has leaked from day one and it's been replaced 4 times
can't wait for the new trans and BUY a new R/T and get a PLASTIC Bumper!!!
