Subject: Jacobs Ultra Team ignition systems?

Well, the first thing is noticed about these is the $$cost$$. So is it worth it? I know a local guy here that builds circle track engines, and he swears by them for his 95 Suburban. This guy isn't an idiot either, he knows his stuff! He told me that his cold weather driveability improved as well as his gas mileage. He claims a consistant 2mpg increase city and highway! Can anybody else fill me in on these?

Had the "Ultra Team" on my 99 RC 3.9 4x4 and the only thing I notice was quicker starts and replacement of the "recommended" plugs every 4-6K(the electrode takes a beating badly from increased spark kernel). Switched to platinum tipped plugs which they recommend against and was able to go about 8K before replacement. No noticeable increase in power or mpg found. Also alotta not so small parts and little space to put them under the hood. Very expensive and not worth money IMO, I sold it for $150.00 when I bought my new truck after paying $400.00 and using it for 10 months cuz I was so impressed with it:) This time I will just go with an MSD and High Voltage Coil for half the money and it appears to work well on the Magnum Engines from reading other posts.

Flowmaster stainless cat back, Air Raid CAD and homemade TB connect, Splitfire Plugs, 180 T-stat, .76 TPS, 3
