hi, i'm new to this forum and just got a 2wd '98 ext cab dak. it's a measly 4 cyl and im using it as a daily driver. it's a great truck...but i would sure like a bit more power. i've done some reasearch and found out that it has about 120 horsepower. i was wondering what were the easiest and possibly cheapest ways of bumping that hp up a bit without comprimising gas mileage too much? i'm thinking custom intake, exhaust, maybe a gear ratio change? thanks for the help.

Yeah they are great trucks, I have a 97 5.2 2wd RC 5spd, and I the best thing about my truck is prolly the gear ratio!!!! Mine came with the 3.92 and I tell you what I harldly ever have to give my truck anygas going up a hilleven running 45 going up a hill. But for you it will be a little different but for the money you will defanitly notice a GREAT DIFFERENCE!!!!!!
