I recently got a 2002 Dakota SXT and I want to do everything I can to it, but I have no idea about how to choose performance parts or even what they do. If someone could point me in the direction of some information or even help me themselves, I would greatly appreciate it.
Oh yeah, it's a V6 automatic, black w/ graphite wheel flares and bumpers and Limo tint on all windows.

Hi Chris. The best advice I could give you would be to check out the V6 board on a regular basis until you become familiar with all mods being discussed there and then decide which ones suit your needs and budget. Have fun!

Is the new V6 a 3.7?? I would say check and see what the 4.7 guys are doing if that's the case since they would be identical SOHC motors in that case. Only dif of course is it has 2 less cylinders.
Regardless IMHO best bang for the buck would be a cold air intake. That could add up to 10 ponies right there.

Oh man... don't I know it, but that can get really addictive AND expensive! (although there are some really good deals to be found) In two months I purchased off ebay:
JBA stainless shorty headers
Factory Manual
Borg Warner Wire Set
Borla Cat Back
2 die-cast Dakota models
Set of Ram-Head uncut keys
Not to mention the throttle body and new air intake I found through the message board.
