I haven't purchased the Stage II performance kit as a whole, for my 2001 4.7, but I do have a sum all those parts installed, with a Flowmaster SUV Performance 50 series muffler in place of the Gibson setup.

I beleive I have some issues with the 70MM TB as I still have a sporadic idle where at a stop light it will idle rough from 500 to 800, and when sitting in Park and gunning it, it revs up to 1200 RPM and stays there....both issues happen at random times

A sum of all the parts of the Stage II performance kit are mostly likely fine, just a F.Y.I. that I (and at least one other person has posted the same issues) have something funny going on with the new 70MM TB.

Bernd, would you know if Bruce would have a reason as to why I see these issues, not to mention a squealing sound from the TB everytime I hit the gas?

Thanks.

MACE, sounds like you have an intake leak. Did you use a new gasket when you installed the TB?

Hi Jason, yes a new gasket was used.

FWIW, the 70MM TB was first installed with the stock 3 inch Z-tube, and also had sporadic idle and squeaking when gasing it then, as it does now with the 4 inch custom Z-tube.

Now that it's gotten cold, I haven't spent too much time under the hood tinkering, guess I'm gonna have to bundle up and trouble shoot some more and/or wait to hear back from Bernd/Bruce on their thoughts as well.

Thanks.

I have the same sporadic idle issues. If any finds out what the issue is please let me know. I don't think it is a leak issue either.

Hi, If you think it may be a vacuum leak, try this, with the engine idling, spray WD40 around the throttle body (where the faces of the intake and body mate), if the engine gains rpm's and/or smoothes out, then you have a vacuum leak. If not...
Try spraying the linkage (at the body)......one thing at a time, patience.......
