WOW, that really was something. I suspect you could make a 4.7 produce lots of ponies for way less. Just would not have the visual impact when you opened the hood. Another idea.....Viper V10 vs Hemi....what fun to dream.

Well that tosses my big block wedge 440 out the window.

Atleast now I know there room to fit a 440 easily and maybe throw in a blower.

I wouldof at least put that engine in an R/T so U have everything to compensate the speed...like the high performance suspension and the heavy duty sway bar and the bigger wheels. But that would be awesome to see a dakota like that to eat up the competition.

Notice on the webpage that the guy doesn't own this truck. He "plans" on building a truck like this. I wonder who really owns that monster? What kind of jerkoff builds a webpage about somebody else's truck that they want to copy? This guy needs a beatin in my opinion.

Chuck Snodgrass of Boise Idaho owns the blue Dak with the Viper motor. He says he has sever traction problems... Give credit where credit is due. The souddomain guy needs to get his sh*t straight.

It would be my guess that with A viper engine in A Dakota, one would HAVE TO tub it out and install some wide back tires. (like some sticky thompsons street tires or slicks)to handle all of that torque.

wat the hell is wrong with you people? obviously those photos are fake, they are photoshopped. u can tell by the size of the battery compared to the engine, and a few others things. also why are u all scared of the v10s torque? if that was real, it would be the older version with about 425 tq, the new one has 505 tq. oh no! not 425! theres a RT in my area thats bored and stroked 408 and paxton blown and makes easily 600+tq w/ juice on the dyno. and he has basic traction bars and drag tires with a carbon fiber driveshaft and loop.

kyle lang, you may want to recheck your figures. The Viper, with a 488 c.i. V10, makes 450 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque. The new 505 c.i. Viper V10 makes 500 hp and 525 lb-ft of torque. Also, the reason everyone is freaking about the torque is because the Viper engines make peak torque at a ridiculously low RPM, which is hell on the suspension, since the vehicle isn't in motion when it hits.

In a perfect world, I would have one Dak with a 426 Hemi, Hurst pistol grip shifter, and shaker, and one Dak with a 505 c.i. Viper V10, GTS style ram air hood, and Viper wheels. *Drooling*

Scott's truck put's out more HP and TQ across the entire RPM range compared to a viper motor... it just has to be setup correctly to handle it...
