I stumbled upon this site searching 3.4 Toyota superchargers. I have a 2000 Tundra 2 door truck (like your gardener has.) I lifted it 5" front /3" rear, have 4.56's, posi, and wimpy 3.4 v6. MPG is horrible at around 14 (lots or rotating mass with 35" tires, wind resistance lifted, inefficient torque-converter, etc.) But I LOVE MY TRUCK!!! I can tow 7000 pounds easy, jump it 3 feet high, drive up sand dunes... Just bought a used gen 1 trd supercharger on ebay for $640. How many of you out there can get 75 horsepower for $640? Most fools would spend that on a crappy noisy muffler and some idiotic looking tail lights.

I think you mean: gets 4mpg and can tow 700lbs., right? That wimpy POS can probably hardly make it you drive way. And I hope you win the lottery, because you'll need the cash to fix that motor once you put that s'charger on it.

Ok.. here is my update to this old thread.
I bought my Taco, had it supercharged, and loved it. But the FEMALE in my life complained alot about it, and its lack of space in the rear.
So...
I bought a brand new '04 HEMI QC 4x4 1500 SLT(Patriot Blue w/ silver bottom) on 12/19/04.

The Hemi is few days past a year old, and I still like it... needs tires though :-)
I've had a few small gripes, but nothing serious.

I still like the Taco for its build quality and such, and blown it was quicker than my Ram.

The SC'd Taco got BETTER mileage than it did as NA. But after having to by 92 for it, it was costing about as much as this fuel pig Hemi is.
13-14.5 mpg is just pathetic. On the highway a tailwind REALLY helps, its amazing.

The tail wind does help, as long as I'm upwind from you!
If you miss your 'Taco' so much, sell the Ram, you'll have no trouble as it sounds realy nice. Finding a 'Taco' to buy won't be a problem as I'm sure lots of folks dump them cheap all the time.
