I dont know how many of you have seen this. This is a 2000 4.7L Dakota built to run a 13.2 1/4 mile, 0-06 in 5.5, and a top speed of over 155 mph. Is it really worth the $$$$?

That price is grossly over market. Whoever came up with that price was looney. I mean it doesnt even have that many modifications on it and even with the top end mods under that hood it would MAYBE bring it up to $35,000-40,000. If that.

Isn't that special......

Those performance numbers are estimates. I kinda hope the guy is able to sell it for that price. If that happened.... you would immediately see mine for sale! hehehe

Of course we all know that it won't happen.

its a pretty sick dakota though, but for that price it should come ready to run 8's, whats up with 13's, not sayin my dakota is that fast but why pay that much for a dakota that if its only that fast (nuthin special) when you can make an R/T that fast for a hell of alot cheaper.

What's the question here? If you were to spend nearly $70,000 would you spend it on a Dodge Dakota R/T. I think not.

Put Nitrous on an R/T with a Hotchkis kit (and the standard bolt-ons) and it's quicker than the $67K Dakota. (and no "Rice" wing either)

Duner is right about those performance numbers too, they dont match up very well,my R/T has run a best 0 to 60 of 5.79 sec last Saturday night, and there is no way I am running a 13.2 in the 1/4 mile, maybe a 14.2 with slicks, some of that might be this supposed turbo but still way to much money,I have seen used GTS vipers with 20 to 30 thousand miles sell for $45,000,so theres my desision,HI Eric, sell your 20's?

You should take a look at his "new project." Its some concept car that resembles too much of a Lamborghini. All of the specs for it sound interesting. Too bad the car will cost the average buyer about $125,000.00 easy. Heh. Boy must have WAY to much money on his hands (read his comments he posted).

Anyways, here is that site I was talking about.

DakGuy, the 2000's with the 4.7 had the motor emblem and maybe some of the 01's.

I think this guy took a big hit off a crack pipe filled with bad stuff, and is seriously blowing smoke up everyone's posteriors. The pictures don't add up, the prices he quotes for his mods are completely out of whack, the performance times don't add up, and when we all start flaming his obviously bunk performance data, 'I'm just a car guy, the supercharger mod caused 6 pistons to be ruined so I put it all back to stock and sold the vehicle already'.

BTW - Read his data sheet. Age: 18-24. Not to be completely stereotypical, but I seriously doubt someone in this range is going to have $62k to blow on a crappy-modded pickup truck then at least the $500k++ it'll cost to do all the engineering, design, molds, etc. etc. to build a series of vehicles. I think we've got a case of a high school anti-socialite who has an active daydreaming imagination.

PS - I'll sell you guys my sleek silver R/T beast for $50k. You'll save $17,900!!! For that price, I'll make sure it spanks that imaginary puppy down the track, and I'll even hand-deliver it anywhere in the country. Huge savings! Order within the next 10 minutes and I'll throw in a -FREE- bottle of car wax and a life-size cutout of Ron Popeil!
