Wassup everyone,

I gotta 2000 Reg.Cab 3.9 2WD. I want to upgrade to a cold air intake setup. I got some questions. I want to get the K&N Generation 2 setup, however they do not make them for the 3.9. Can I just get the one for the 5.2/5.9? Will it fit? Has anyone tried it? The stock number for the Fram paper filter element that is used for the 3.9 and the 5.9 both match. Also, the same for the K&N drop in element. Both the 3.9 and 5.9 stock numbers are the same. Does this mean that the GEN 2 intake system for the 5.9 will also fit the 3.9? Or does can anyone recommend a better cold air intake for my 3.9 . Thanks for any help you guys can pass on. BLAKDAKY2K

The K&N Gen II FIPK will fit the 3.9L with a little bending of the heat shield.

Swingman, I have a 1990 3.9L. I have also had the problem with not being able to find a K&N cold air kit. Someone told me to buy the 92+ kit and it would work. Is this true? If the problem lies in room, Ive got plenty of that due to a 3in body lift. Thanks for your help.
