hey guys, hate to break up your trash talking or what not...however i was wondering if you guys could help me out...My dad has a job with ray evernham and dodge racing....oh yeah... dodge is about to come out with a line of Evernham performance trucks and cars(like roush and ford)....however ...I've been thinking about getting a R/T or V8 DAK ,but they get crap MPG...so i've been looking at this 99' S-10 extreme with upgraded ignition,air filter ,injectors,vortech supercharger,after market rear end gear....5spd ....do you think this will be able to compare to ...hondas,camaros,trans am's,eclipse's,dak's please let me know what you think if you don't reply on here please send me a e-mail!

thanks man! What do you think the gas mileage would be with that S/C on the S-10? You guys who have V8 daks (R/T ,5.2,4.7) what kind of MPG do you guys get on an avg?...what kind of MPG do you guys that have S/C's and performance stuff get? Thank you guys for your time!

I haven't had the chance to smoke an xtreme yet, they are some cockey little jitbags though aren't they? I'd love to line up agains one, hell man I'd just be happy to see an xtreme driver sitting somewhat straight in his seat, there always hanging half out the window... stupid jits.

lololol he said 'jits' what is a jit?? it sounds like a nasty comment against most of those thug wannabe guys, so i like it LOL...yea, an xtreme with a 5spd/blower/gear/ignition will light up most stock r/t's...the only problem is finding one.
ls1 t/a's with 6spds do get almost 30mpg on the highway...i seriously would kill someone for that kinda mileage.

Gas mileage sucks on Daks.Modded or not.Don't know about times w/a supercharger, but I've seen an Extreme w/exhaust, filter, 3.73 gear, and a 100 shot of nitrous run mid-13s.

yeah man sometimes if I'm in my wifes car, she's got a 03' jetta I'll slide my seat ALL the way back and put it ALL the way down then roll up the front window and roll the rear passenger window down, then I'll stretch as far back as I can so you can only see the top of my head and eyes sticking up above the back door. It's hard to drive like that man but it's worth it. I do this when I see some jit in a galant/lancer/tibby/cav/xtreme/metro rolling like they have 3 crushed discs in their back.. I kind of look over at them and give them the trusty thug head nod.. and if there is a straw or something in the car I'll be sure to throw it in my mouth, it seems that you have to be chewing on something if your a true thug. Now that I think about it I should probly throw a towel/hat/straw in her car that way I have the instant thug look if I want to bag on anyone.
It pisses them off, specially if they have some hood-rat trick with them.

I raced an AUTOMATIC S-10 SS w/4.3 when I first got my Sport C/C 4.7 5 spd, and he smoked me, I was so pissed cuz I had just been on here seeing you guys talk about my truck running 14.8's in the quarter. So I cut off my muffler and put a k&N on the end of a PVC pipe and put lo pros all the way around and dropped it so at least it would look cool and sound fast.... lol, I'm sure it will eat a stock Extreme's lunch now if I had posi trac..., maybe even a modded one, but Im sure theyre pretty light...

haha yes justin...345hp and the power/weight ratio has to be like...1hp/500lb...i agree that chevy was stupid by making the s 10 "extreme"...but then all the chevy nuts buy them so who's stupid? take a v6 s-10 slap some ground effects and some 16" aluminum rims on it and call it "extreme"...that'll teach them civics not to mess with chevy...

On a return trip from Seattle, on interstate 5 A S10 Extreme, came speeding up to my rear bumper He then moved over to the #1 lane and matched my speed around 70 mph. Iam not really into racing my 02 4X4X4 but could not help my self. We did a quick glance at each other and he bolted. Be4 he could get 2 far ahead (1/2 truck lenth) I pulled the auto shifter down to 2nd I wounded it up to 5500 rpm and shifted into 3rd. When my 4.7 with a few cheep/free mods. grabed 3rd gear I had cought and passed up the Extreme. I keeped my foot in it till my Dak's speedo was reading 115MPH. The Extreme, was in my rear view mirror. Perhaps a full two truck lenths behind my Dak. 02,Qc,4.7,3.55,auto,almost all options,.76TPS,15k ohm IAT,removed fan,KandN,reworked cold air intake My 2nd love 95 Zr1 vette,Factory DOHC hemi. factory rated 405 HP, Dino@477BHP.16 fuel injectors, the second set of injectors are controled by a key switch on the dash.0 to 60 4.6 sec. 1/4 mile low 12 range. top speed well over 177 mph
