It will come down to who shifts with out messing up. With very little work the Extreme hauls AZZ since it is lighter and smaller then the dakota. By looking at the truck there is no way to see any other modzs he might have such as gears. It should be close. Go for it and let us know the outcome
I thought about how mothers feed their babies with tiny little spoons and forks, so I wondered what do Chinese mothers use? Toothpicks?

i actually kinda raced a cc extremme last night uphill, dead even, i was infront and he was following me. we took off from 45 and went to about 90. i was pretty sure he had a couple mods to cause of the stickers i saw on his back glass when he turned.

u f-ing dak owners thinkin that dodges are the shyt ,well they wont beat my xtreme, mine is the badest on around. Ihave a lt1 moter in mine and its fast and well walk all over a dak and thats the battom line.

I have raced a few S-10 Xtremes in my 01' CC R/T and killed them. The biggest kill was about 6 cars on the tollway. All I have on my R/T is exhaust and a K&N drop in. So I dont think that there fast at all.

Oh and another thing. The Viper and the Vette Z06 are pretty evenly matched, so why not compare a Viper swapped Dak with a Ls1 swapped S-10?

i'm not brad but i do have a s10 putting 350 horse to the ground.don't have pics or time slips on a web site.dyno it at work didn't print any results out though.its a 355 engine.and i have a ls1 trans am.so if you live central ohio bring your truck out and i will shoew you my tail lights.

Brad -- how can your truck be a "real extreme" if you've changed the engine out on it? We weren't bragging about the viper or hemi daks, you're the one that had to bring up swapping in a V8 in the extreme. In order to be fair you have to compare apples to apples i.e. s-10 gets a V8, dak gets a hemi or v-10. And if you really wanted to be fair why not add a couple hundred pounds to your precious little S-10 then we can really see how slow your truck is.

Don't want to disrespect any Dakota owners being a fellow one myself, but when the big three all get into the game, say a the SRT-10 for Dodge and a 450 horse Ford Lightning, Chevy'll see the sales ratings and come up with some Silverado 7.4 AWD w/ a 4.10 gear and 515hp/645lbs.-ft. that'll probably register 160 for about 5k more than the Ford and 5k less than the Dodge.
What I'm saying is that when they're all in the race together, GM'll come out on top.

there should be no argument about this. there is no way that a S-10 extreme would even come close to keeping up with an r/t. my brother has a 2002 r.c. extreme with headers, intake, chip, and gibson exhaust. i have a 2000 c.c. r/t completly stock and i murdered him when we raced. the only time that it was close was when my tires were spinning off the line. other than that i crushed him. we went from a dead stop to about 100mph and i probably beat him by four car lengths.
