 Subject: Flash PCM

Today I was looking under the hood of my 2000 4.7 and noticed a sticker on the hood. It said Flash TCM, I think they meant PCM. Anyway, the "change authotity" section gave the number 21 09 00, and the date was 12/00. I don't remember them telling me that they flashed it, and it was running great anyway. Can they do this with out telling me and can I have it re-flashed back? I've heard that this flash reduces power, or is it a big deal? Thanks for the help

no it is a flash for the transmission control modual from Chrysler, it probably was the one to make the trans a true 5 speed, basically a double overdrive can't remember the ratios from chrysler tech school. the bullitin was for exhaust drone at a certain rpm with the double overdrive it eliminates the sound
