So my buddy has a 01 4x4 Tacoma V6 ext cab with 5spd and TRD package. I have a 2000 Dak 4x4 CC 5spd with 3.92 gears, airaid intake, 3 inch exhaust, and a jet chip. Can I beat him drag racing all the way to 120mph? I just want to know if his truck ever has any chance of beating me.

HA HA HA yea right, the only way you'd lose to that forien piece is if you started off in 5th and had 4 flat tires. Jon, you'll smoke him no prob, just make sure he's got a 3.4L and not a 4.7L. Toyotas 4.7L puts out 10 more horses and 20 more ft lbs of torque. hope this helps and have fun

The dodge dakota 4.7 5 speed 3.92 is like the 3rd fastest production pick up today. There is no way he could touch you. The toyota 4.7 is only in the tundra and you could even kill that. You dont have anything to worry about. If you are unsure because you rode in his truck and it felt fast and sporty let me tell you i used to own a 3.4 toyota and does sound like a high reving engine but its not fast.

iirc, if the Tacoma has a TRD supercharger on it (not sure if it's a factory option or not) it'll give a run, otherwise it's toast.
A 4.7+Manual and an R/T Dakota is a good race.
A lightning will out run you.
