Subject: IAT Adjuster wires?
IP: Logged

Message:
Ok, I bought the IAT adjuster about 2 weeks ago and just now found time to hook it up. At first, I was unsure which wire to connect the white wires up to because on my truck I have to black wires--- one with a red stripe and the other with a light blue stripe. Now I have a manual and I hooked it up the way the instructions said. Hook the white wires up to the lead going to the sensor(Blk/blue) and the black wires up to the wire going to the PCM(Blk/red). After I finished I started my truck and the "Check Engine" light came on. I read the instructions and it said to double check the wires; so I did and they were hooked up right. So what do I do now. I reset the PCM already and the light is still on. So Bernd or anyone can you help!!!!!!!!

Hook BOTH white wires up to the sensor and hook BOTH black wires up to the harness going to the PCM. That should cure what ails you!

Ok blizzard, you are saying that you have to hook up one white wire to the blk/blu and the other white wire to the blk/red on the sensor side of the cut harness. Then hook a blk wire up to blk/red and the other blk wire up to the blk/blu that is going away from the sensor. Is this right or is this wrong. thanks. By the way do you have a IAT adjuster on your truck.
