Is there a shift kit out yet for the 2001 QC 4.7. If so where did you get it and how much. Can I put it in myself. I know my way around the truck pretty well.

Thanks

If you want a shift kit for the auto tranny your outa luck unless one comes out in the future. If you have a 5spd tranny, Hurst makes a short throw shifter for it but its only for 94 - 2000 models... You'll have to wait for it also for the 2001's. Hope this helps!

4.7 refers to the engine which is a 4.7 liter V8. What transmission do you have? Automatic? Probably have a 45RFE then. I have not heard of a shift kit for the 45RFE, it was new in 2001. Eventually the aftermarket will catch up with the new equipment.

$hit! I have a 2001 4.7 5 sp I hadn't heard of any changes in the tranny. When I heard about the Hurst shifter I started salivating. You know, there's nothing wrong with the shifting, there is nothing wrong with the performance, there is nothing Wrong with the styling! But why oh why do I want to throw all this stuff on my truck?-'CUZ I CAN!

level 10 makes a shift kit for the 45rfe auto on the 4.7's. Expensive though.
Marks DQC, the 45rfe was introduced in 2000 along with the 4.7.

Where do you see a shift kit for the 45rfe on Level ten's web site?? I scoured their site and see no mention of the 45rfe anywhere.

Level10 said that the valve body kit and pts kit will be out this feb. They sent me an e-mail last night. They are well known in the high performance turbo charged import market. It is not easy getting a automatic tranny to survive with alot of boost or NOS.
