I raced my 2001 3.9L QC stock, a while back, I happened to see my buddy on the street one day when I figured that I would flag him down and race at our 1/4 street about a block down, I knew that he would have the advantage on me but it did'nt matter, I just wanted to see what I could do. I had him at first, because of him spinning, his bald tires did'nt help him much either, but after he was done spinning he took me pretty easily just before the finish. Not sure how much he beat me by or the exact distance. It was fun, I did'nt care that I got beat since that it was a SST, I don't mind loosing that much to a superior Dodge. Now that I have a few mods. I might have to try it again. I'll let you know what happens after I get back from my local 1/8th mile track.

flowmasters, airaid intake, IAT adjuster
soon to have a fastman throttle body 46mm, JBA headers, and MSD ingnition, with accel pluggs and wires, along with a 180' Robert Shaw thermostat.

I forgot to tell you but before I sold my RC 3.9 I raced an early to mid 80's model Ford ranger RC V6, I was at a stop light when a truck made a noise like it was dying next to me, I knew that someone wanted to race so I was ready, the light turned green and we took off, but right at the moment somebody pulled in front of me, he stayed on it, and I swerved around the car in front of me and immediatly started gain on him, I would say that we raced a full 1/4 or more, I was way behind and still beat him with no problem, but I had to get out of it because that is where my Chevy friend got smoked by a dart, and got a 30 over the limit ticket.
