 Subject: 5.9 TB same as a 5.2?

I was wondering if the TB on a 5.9 magnum motor is the same one on a 5.2 magnum? If not, can I put a 5.9 TB on my 5.2 and if so, would I see any gains?

they are exactly the same, both are 48mm tb's. if you want to get some power go with a 50mm unit, or a 52mm if you are going to supercharg it. WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT GO TO MAGNUM PERFORMANCE TO GET A THROTTLE BODY!!!

I was looking at buying a new TB for my 99 R/T and I was considering the Magnum Performance one. Have you had a Bad Experience with them?

justin, either krc or speedtweeks are great places. i have talked to marty at krc and he is VERRY helpfull and a nice person. i think prices are about the same at both places also.
professorzoom, jules (the guy that runs the place) is not only rude but he is a complete a$$ hole, he charged me $1000 for my TB. this is when i only knew he was doing them and i didnt know the going price for a TB. it took me 8 months to get it after he had my money. and he must have caller ID because after he had my money he would'nt answer the phone.
the TB that i got was a verry nice looking TB. i did notice a power differance, but DEFFANITY NOT WORTH $1000!!
go with a quick-D, or fastman or something else, but my advice to you is DONT GO TO MAGNUM PERFORMANCE. i will not ever buy anything from that jerk again

I have also heard some "bad press" on Magnun Performance. I even stopped a guy in Houston with a bad looking lowered black R/T. He said he got his TB from Magnum P and it ended up costing over $600 and he did not notice any real improvement.
I have ordered a Holley TB and hope to get it in time to install this weekend. Holley costs @$425 at Truckperformance.com with no trade in.
I'll post results after install.
PS: I've got the 5.9 with a few mods.

I second the opinion on magnum performance. Took 1 year from the time I ordered it till I got my deposit back.
