Nope. Just pull the wires off of the plugs, grab the heat sheild with a pair of pliers and twist off.

Got the frist one in 2hrs, small dime size bits,what a pain in the butt.The truck is a '97 with 36,000mi and garage stored.I'm thinking slide hammer for the rest(I started with the rusty one).Thanks for the info :-)
