Mine gets 11-12 around town, best on the highway was 18.2 with electric fans, but I had to toss that cause they would not keep the engine cool. Now, 16.8 with clutch fan..but its strong and I don't really care.

My old 99 5.2 RC 4x4 3.55 used to get 10 in town on a good day and 16 max highway. After the K&N drop in filter, dynomax muffler only, fan removal (never overheated w/2 electric fans) and a cranksensor relocation it got 14-15 in town, 18.5-20 highway and 16 towing two jetskiis through WV (down 79 and 19 to 77) doing 70. Heck pulled a 88 daytona on a dolly and got 16.

My 97 gets 15-16 in mixed town& highway. 14 straight town and 18 highway. I have JBA headers, 3.55 LSD, high flow cat, flowmaster duals, and use Mobil 1 synth oil.

Hope this helps, try looking for common things such as plugs or a nearly bad 02 sensor, and possibly a TPS.

OK, I have a 99 QC Full Time 4X4, Auto, 3.92 gears. With 33" tires, Mopar light bar and lights (like 4 little drag chutes), 5.5" Lift, no tonneau and a K&N FIPK I was getting 11.3 average (which is 60% highway).

Added MSD 6A, Blaster SS coil, 8.5 wires, B/W cap & rotor and average went up to 12.8.

Added a SuperLift speedometer calibrator and the average went up to 13.5 (33s were throwing off the calculations)

Added M1 intake, MP PCM, TB, headers, 3" exhaust, cam, high flow cat, electric fan, yadda yadda and average is now 14.8. Cruising down the highway at 62MPH, the overhead shows 18MPG; at any other speed between 55 and 75 it shows 16MPG.

Well.. my gas mileage is really down the tubes...

I average 11.5 to 12.5 miles per gallon... I even put in a K & N drop in filter about 2 months ago, and it almost appears that my milage got worse...geez.

I really didn't want to spend a bunch on mods to get better mileage, however it is becoming evident that you would have to do that to get ahead.

So far, I have just sucked it up as the "cost of doing business..." I really would like it to be better (like in the 15 -16 MPG range), but without having to invest over several hundred bucks...

I dunno.. maybe my PCM hasn't accepted the "increased airflow" from my K&N... I thought that it would help at least get a 1-2 MPG improvement, but so far, I am kinda dissapointed.
