I found un-cut viper keys on ebay and they look like they would fit my dak. does any one know if the viper key would fit our daks ?

I just checked those out at ebay...pretty cool. The seller says they'll fit any Chrystler built vehicle '94 and up.
I just called my local dealer to see what they get for a Viper key blank ...$101.50(cut)!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want one you better get it on ebay!

It would be cool just to have one on your key-chain and if people see the Viper key they'll think you own one. :-)

When I got my '98 with the factory security system, I was instructed specifically to get replacement keys from the dealer, as they were electronically encoded. I sure don't see a chip anywhere, but it could be under the rubber grip. Anyone know if this is true? I have a key code given to me should I need replacements, so I kinda believe him. S'posedly the truck dies about a minute after started with a copied key, which seems foolish - thief drives down road, engine dies, he crashes my truck???

Zaurusman, actually, the engine dies about 3-4 seconds after it is started if the wrong key is used. I know because when I bought mine, they gave me a wrong key (the original dealer lost one, and they didn't program the replacement correctly).
