I have a 1997 dodge Dakota v6 the motor
blew so I took a motor out of a 2001
Dodge Dakota v6 and put in it I had to
take the intake off the old motor and put it
on the new motor so everything would
plug up so I did all that and put it in the
truck and it won't start it is not getting
any fire,

I have a 98 3.9 v6 that the motor blew in. I replaced
the engine with the same 3.9 v6 but out of a 96
dodge. It starts and runs but it will die when placed in
park? Yet it will run in any gear ( R,N,D,2,1) but will die
once in park. Does anybody have any clue what my
problem could be? Maybe something with neutral
safety?

2000 Dakota v6, can I put the 5spd
Trans from the 2000 v6 in my 01 v8? the
01 is auto matic right now..

blown 318. I also have a 97 dodge
Dakota 2×4 with 3.9 v6 can anyone tell
me if the 3.9 will work in the Durango
and how much trouble is it to do

OK, I have just purchased a 1988 V6, Manual Transmission, 2WD Dakota, and I need to know the following (from experience only... please no "I think..."):
1. What transmission (NV1500/2500/3500) is currently in the vehicle ? Or a link showing/telling me about it.
2. Will this transmission (once ID'd) handle a slightly massaged V8 ?
3. What rear-end is in this vehicle ? Or a link showing/telling me about it.

Can anybody tell me how to fudge a vin to
buy a computer flashed or order one for V8
swap 3.9 to 5.9 can't buy a new PCM
without a vin number but I've learned how
to decode the VIN but it does not register
on what with there sales setup to try to
buy a computer when you fix it or fudge it
for your build
