the 683 is for engines going over 5500 rpm (it comes with guide plates and push rods)
i was going to go with crower, untill i went to the dealer. the dealer wanted $449 for the 1.7's and they come with push rods, guideplates, studs, and everything that the crowers come with for $230 cheaper!! and i talked them down to $399.99!!
and got the polished mopar valve covers for $101.99.

just go stop by the parts depo, and have them work some prices with you. i just cant beleve how much crower wants for them

I want the Crowler parts the Mopar parts are Crane.I've never heard a good thing about Crane--all bad.15yrs of building hot rods and I've never heard or seen a bad thing about Crower other than price, you get what you pay for.The Crower's are stainless --less likely to break and don't transmit vibrations from the valves to the cam as bad because the metal is more ductile.I have seen posts about the Mopar's(crane's) breaking.

Two things. First, the Crowers are the best. Aluminum will "work harden" which is what causes them to break. Second, I bought mine from truckperformance.com. Spoke to Eric, and he made me a deal on the package, much lower than Crowers site. Also the price on their site is outdated. I called them about it months ago, and they said they were going to change it........
