 Subject: exhaust flanges - weld?

I have Mopar headers with pipes that extend down to the Y-pipe collector. My problem is those Y-pipe flanges have broken open and sounds ugly. Should I spend money to have the gaskets replaced again, or should I just weld it all together? Any problems with just welding them?

Are they stainless? Welding stainless changes the "temper" of the material in such a way that it may rust faster at the welds.
