I've been waiting for the 2001 model. I want one. Please post your experience after installing it!!

Where did you get it and what did it cost? I read an earlier post that said it was listed at $400. Ouch

What other other mods have you made to the 2001 5.9??

I've got big plans for mine, but have only done:

Jet Chip, Gibson single 3", K&N factory replacement filter, Bosch 4's.

Yeah, make sure that you reset your pcm by umpluging the negative terminal on the battery and draning the capcitors by trying to start for about 20 sec. when the neg. terminal is unpluged!!!! after doing that you will notice such a change in HP with in a few days. It is hard to notice the first time you take it out!!!! but you will notice. I have the 5.2 5 speed and coming home this evening I stomped down on it it running about 20 in second w/ my 3.90's and bout lost it. given the fact that the roads were soaken wet. Anyway man you will enjoy putting it on and enjoy the slight turbo whistle that she makes!!! It is great loving mine!!! The hell with those smal ass airaid's that don't whistle!!! I have two people thinking that I have put a turbo on mine it whitsles so much!!!!

Thansk for the replies, yes Ill post my findings on line here to let you know how the install goes, and initial impressions. Thasnk for the tip on resetting the brain. Actually I paid 257.00 on www.truckperformance.com It shiiped yesterday, should have it Monday or Tuesday next week. (got an email from a guy who ordered his from Summit Racing, paid 260.00 and his is on backorder??

This is my first mod, next will be the Gibson 3" catback, then the stage II chip. Figured air in, then air out, then brain control.

Next if they ever get done is Rhancho's lift kit, I would luv to have 35's on my dak, and will go to a custom straight axle if these lift kit companys dont ever get off their backside.

I've only got 3,000 miles on the dak, just getting it broke in. Already smashed the drivers door and mirror, not bad, while 4wheeling, yea i can hear the flames already learn to drive, well bring it on if your ready to teach me.

I really like the truck, this one might be a keeper for awhile!!

I have a Jet Chip and they recommend disconecting the battery for 5 minutes or so when installing their Chip in order to reset the electronics. How do you unplug the negative battery terminal and try starting for 20 seconds? And..How about that performance on the wet roads? Can you tell a difference on dry pavement with the K&N FIPK?

I put a FIPK intake on my 99 r/t. Be really careful on how much you tighten the bolt on top of it. I didnt really tighten mine that much, and still it cracked right in the middle. Very lucky nothing dropped down my engine. K&N was pretty cool about it, and sent me the part within 2 days. Now im seaching for a perforamnce chip... and maybe headers... still dreaming about the supercharger :(
