I have a 2000 3.9L. While stopped and in
gear tac flutters like it wants to die
but never does. You can hear a slight
clicking sound every time it does this.
Throttle body is clean and vehicle is
tuned up. I recently found a hole in my
evap canister. Could this be the
culprit or any other suggestions
appreciated

It could be the problem. Have you checked for
codes?

So I priced a new canister at over $100. That's
more than I waned to spend so I cheated and refilled
the canister w/carbon and siliconed the hole. Check
engine light shut off on it's own, but my idle issue
remains. I'm beginning to think its an electrical
problem. I'll continue my search.
