 Subject: Auto to Manual swap

I just picked up a 93 (318 auto) Dakota shortbox. I want to swap out the 4 speed auto to a 904 (therefore no computer input/output) I was told it already has a MP computer in it. Will this present a problem..........has anybody already done this.........or would I need a PCM for a stick??

It is an automatic, but not an electronically controlled one.
