Hi from Brazil. I have a stock 2001 5.2lt Dakota 4dr Sport. They sold them in Brazil from 2000 to 2001 and only very few were V8's. Stock parts are hard enough to find and aftermarket is impossible. I want some more HP and have been thinking about importing a Supercharger. I already sent a note about that but didn't hear back yet. Anyway I'm on a rig offshore here and an American friend suggested taking off the Catalatic Convertor and getting a Jet Perfomance Chip. Can anyone tell me how much more I would gain from this and if it would still be worth importing the SC and which one is best? (I'd be happy with ~30% gain) Also my spark plug leads & distributor cap are original - would it make a difference upgrading to a certain type/brand and which plugs should I be using? Appreciate all help.

MSD makes great plug wires. (leads)
Unsure what you can get over there but, Any cap and
rotor with brass inserts is best.
For the spark plugs NGK FR5's (V Power plugs)
seem to work best in these motors.

Jet Chip don't do a whole lot on these motors
though. Try looking into another brand possible a
switchable one.
