I'm wanting to put a carb. on my Shelby Dakota. My question is will the transmission and overdrive still work when I go to a carb and MSD ignition.Since the computer wont be wired to the distributor anymore.

I'm not 100% sure but, I think you probably have an RH series trans which is not electronically controlled so those mods would not affect it. Maybe someone a little more familiar will chime in.

You should have the A500. The trans will work and function fine other than OD and converter lock-up. There is a 3 prong plug on the side of the trans that is the wiring for lock-up and OD. The center wire is a ground and the outter wires need a 12v source. I wired up my 91 so that lock-up and OD came in at the same time via the factory dash switch. My trans functions like a 904 nonlock-up around town but when I get on the highway I can push the button and have OD and lock-up. Hope this helps, Mike
