just wondering if anyone with a pretty similar truck has issues with balancing new tires on wheels. Truck is an 06 quad cab dakota laramie. Been to a wheel shop, been to Firestone, been to a Town Fair Tire. Seems none of them could balance them right after several attempts. Wheels are not warped (checked out by wheel shop)

You sure you don't have anything stuck in any of the wheels? Belts shifting? Are you sure the shop that checked the wheels was correct?

I can't see 3 places being that incompetent that they could not balance a set of tires.

On thier 5th attempt, Town fair had helped the issue, truck still shakes between 60 and 70, but not as much. I'll deal with it till I can afford to buy a newer set installed at a different retailer, maybe the tires will wear enough eventually to wear out the shake...hopefully. Besides the wheel shop telling me my rims were in exelent shape, the truck never shook before the new (now 3rd) set were installed. Thanks for the reply though.

Find a shop with a road force balancing machine. What it does is load the wheel/tire as if it's on the road, and balances it under load. Had 2 sets of tires done this way. Never needed a rebalance.

tried road force at one shop, slightly fixed a tire that was slightly out of round. Supposedly they (town Fair) used the road force to do my last balance, that is why the shaking is almost minimal, which I will deal with
