Sure Todd, why so surprised ? Pretty sure I told you a while back how my factory rotors delaminated at about a third of your milage and wiped out the pads. You seem to be one of the lucky ones, as I've noticed I usually get more miles out of brakes than most people.

I went with decent aftermarket (whatever the parts shop had) and noticed improved braking over stock. I'd avoid stock parts here.

i actually just did mine front and rear pads and shoes, turned the drums and rotors. first time ever at 161 thousand and they still werent done i just did it while i was in their because they were getting close and i had to replace a wheel stud. Discount tire ran it on with an impact so i had to drill it out and break it off after rounding the lug nut. it sucked. Replacing not using factory parts does increase stopping power

TexasTodd,

I think your luck with the brakes might be attributed to the difference between your 2wd and the 4x4 that the original poster is dealing with. My 02 QC 4x4 has warped the second set of front rotors at 68k miles. I'm doing the 03 Durango brake swap this weekend. Hopefully it will be an improvement.

How did the swap go Cory?

I'm going, I think almost two years since I done mine, not a single problem since.

I'm swapping the rear drums to disc's this weekend. I Finally have a weekend off to get it done.

Rear drum to disc conversion complete. Had the Mrs help me bleed em again. Just parked her from my test drive. Very nice, pretty straight forward install. with the exception of the control module. skipped that step, but seems to just fine as is.

I did the ssbc swap a few years ago and my braking has been worse ever since, the install was pretty easy, but i think i might need a bigger master cylinder.
