Speed sensor is in the rear end.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Yeah like Kowalski said the speed sensor that commonly fails is in the rear end. There's one in the transmission too, somewhere, or at least on the 42 series.

When my speed sensor failed, the local parts stores only had the ones for the tranny. I had to order the correct one (rear end) online. Part number was BORABS211 on partsamerica.com. Good luck.

The speed sensor you are looking for is on the top of the rear diff. It is slightly to the front of the diff and can be tricky to get out. There is a metal piece that kinda sits around it and 2 brake lines that you need to just push out of the way temporarily in order to get the old sensor out. It can be tough to get it out, but keep wiggling and pulling and it will come out eventually. To make getting the new sensor in easier, use a little lube to help it go in.
Also, to make you job a lot easier, grab a small mirror and a flashlight to help see the sensor easier, or, you can take the spare tire out (which is not needed, but might help).
It took me about 30 minutes all said and done with the help of a friend to get it done.
Hope that helps!
