So I got a rebuilt PCM from a local recycle yard, put it in and within 250 miles it started shifting rough (up and down the gears) my overdrive gear doesn't work on the freeway and check engine light is on.
Codes were po202, po201, po207, po208, po121, po733, po731, po715, po732, po734, po700, p1790, po715.
The recycle shop is telling me the PCM is NOT bad
its probably my tranny. What the hell!

Sorry, I have a 2000 Dakota 4.7 4x4 not sure what tranny but what I am wondering is if the shop who sold it to me is right when they are telling me there is nothing wrong with the PCM because it was bench tested? This sounds like they don't want to warranty it.

Nobody other than the dealer can "bench test" a PCM and I'm not even sure if the dealer had the diag equipment to do it. Ad if a salvage yard is telling you they can do it .... they are full of crap .... ask to see them "bench test" the unit. I bet they will come up with some crap about they don't have time....... because they CANT DO IT.
