Anyone have any idea what the best choice in programming kits are. Tryin to get more outa my truck the easiest way. Suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Unfortunately, different programmers have shown different, (on no) results depending on what year and engine you have.

I think superchips posted a 46 rwhp gain with the 3715 tuner, but we all no not to trust those numbers. Another site I found:

shows the 5.9 gaining 22 rwhp and 35 rwtq. That seems believable. My 4.7 felt a noticeable boost in tq and throttle reponse, but I have not dyno'ed it yet. Of course, everytime I wash and wax it, I swear it picks up 5 hp ;).

Have you seen MY previoius posts, of 2001, 4.7, manaul tranny objective DYNO #'s using my superchips on all the different settings using the two grades of gas?
(And yes, this took 2 dyno sessions, about 2 week's apart, same dyno, ~same ambient conditions)
For simplicity, I'll give RWHP #'s. (The RWtq was about the same increases)
In a nut shell:
No SC's- 218 !!
87 oct SC's- 222
towing (93octane)SC's -224
performance (93octane)- 227, 300 RWTQ!!
That's right, a MAX of ~8HP increase.
( my NO SC's usually beats others Perf SC's with similiar mods)
01 SLT QC, two tone paint,
Cab high Leer cap w/ double slider window,
Infinity sound, Tire and handling pack,
Trailer towing pack,
4.7 manual,
HO cams,
HO intake,
Ported the stock 68mm TB,
Homebrew 'true' CAI, w/ K&N
No belt driven clutch or cooling fan
No third cat.
SuperChips Tuner
Max dyno, NO short belts, etc.
227 RW HP
300 RW TQ
