Check the thermostat gasket...it's a bit buried but that's where I found my leak. I could smell it for about two weeks but couldn't find it. After sticking my head in the engine bay with a flashlight, I saw the leak.

First - the 4.7L thermostat is at the bottom of the engine.
Second - the thermostat gasket is rubber, and surrounds the thermostat. It is not visible unless the thermostat housing is removed.

A leaking thermostat gasket can be detected by inspecting for fluid/residue at the gap between the housing and the engine, but first you gotta remove the plastic splash shield between the lower radiator support and the first crossmember (under the vehicle).
Because of the design, I doubt you suddenly have a leaking thermostat gasket. If there is leakage, its because the housing screws are not tightened properly.

Radiator pressure cap? might allow coolant to escape if not good take off have it tested or replace it and have a pressure test on whole coolant system with a dye put in then inspect throughly usually visual inspection can be noticed like white chalky appearance or if dripping notice stain running from where leak is originated from if its been there for ahwhile
