It wouldn't be difficult to verify whether or not Viper rockers actually give an increase in lift. Simply put a travel indicator on the valve and measure the distance that it moves both before and after installing a rocker arm.

Anyone looking for maximum performance should do this anyway as stamped rockers can vary from one to the other.

Another possible downside to installing non-adjustable rockers is that you may encounter over-arching resulting in premature valve guide wear. What fits doesn't necessarily work well in the long run.

I agree N56629, again as an example most stamped
small block chevy rockers are actually closer to 1.48 than the advertised 1.5 ratio.

Valvetrain geometry is very important for a reliable engine,
(stock components where designed to work together by the factory engineers)

but when you start adding aftermarket components angles haves to be verified as high-lift cams often require different lenghts pushrods to get the right geometry.
