what is the general opinion of copper vs platinum spark plugs, pros & cons. I need to change mine soon and I'm just wondering which type might be better,I'm running 3923 copper
plugs now.

Copper is cheaper, but platinum lasts longer. Same performance, sometimes the platinum gives a rougher idle in some engines. In my opinion, platinum is only worth it in hard-to-reach locations.

The only advantage to platinum is it lasts longer. 60K instead of 40K on average. No other advantage.
I use standard Autolite plugs in all my vehicles, even my track car.
