Hey Everyone,

I found your site when doing a search for The 02 Jeep 4.7 HO Intake manifold part #53031739AD

My Jeep has been broke down since beginning Feb. waiting for a replacement one of these.

Does anyone know anyone with one in stock?

Thanks for your time.

Amy

Down since Feb 9! Replacement on order at TWO places! Chrysler will not give release date.

Husband has 20+ yrs experience as a mechanic and knows what he is doing. He was doing a tuneup on my jeep and sprayed intake manifold spray into the intake (not sure if that is exactly right) He used the stuff for its intended purpose. Put everything back together and started the car and... BAM, the ceramic cover cracked, broke a piece off, and blew off the end of the manifold!

I'm sure you can imagine the hassles involved in being down to 1 car with 2 adults and a kid. So now we've decided to take drastic (temporary) measures. He's part way done removing the intake (getting hung up on the fuel rail) and we're going to epoxy the crack in the end cover and see if it'll run that way.

Now, Chrysler is getting bought out. Wonder if I'll ever get the part!

We'd really like to track down the HO manifold but I'll let him know you have a stock manifold off an 01. He has to do all the work so I leave it up to him how to handle it. (epoxy, buy used, wait)Thank you though, we might want it.

The stock 4.7 maniflod, will fit perfectly.

You'll actually see more low end torque with it.

I changed it to an HO manifold, which gives me more higher rpm HP and tq, very slight.

It will fit perfect, and you'll never feel the difference.

I'm at work now and can't send you an e-mail, I'll do it tomorrow.

This is for real, I'll even ship it to you, then you send the payment. I don't think you'd try and rip me off, as I wouldn't do it to you.

My e-mail, is under the envelope by my screen name.

Thanks for your help. I'm not sure if I will need your stock manifold or not. We just plastic welded that stupid little end cover back together. My husband is putting the manifold back in now. Hope it holds. Crossing fingers

I hope it does too.

It's not really a stock manifold, they did make two back then, only one the last few years.

Most of the difference comes from the HO cams, which me and hundreds of others have in our non HO 4.7's.

The manifold would fit and work perfectly.

I haven't messed with the stock IAT on my '01, but isn't it on the manifold on a '01, and later years was moved to the airbox? Even if it was, it could be plugged.

We charged up the battery and jump started the jeep (sat so long the battery died) IT DID START! BUT, the MAP sensor got messed up so the jeep won't stay running. We have a replacement sensor coming into NAPA via 2 day air. Tonight we should know.

Hey it may not idle for a while simply since you let the battery go dead!

If that is the case just keep your foot on it for a while and it will then stay running.

That exact thing happened to a friend's 4.7 Ram this Memorial Weekend when his stereo drained the battery. He jumped it and it would not idle. I told hom it was normal for the PCM to relearn.
It took 15 to 20 min of him keeping it running by holding the throttle slightly.

On another note. I've been running a glued together 4.7 manifold for nearly 6 months now!
It's that test manifold I was experimenting on that lets my engine rev to 7k.
I keep forgetting to finish that project.

Have fun. Sounds like the cleaner caused a backfire. Them plastic intakes are not too great against that.
