Hey guys, I have a 99 4x4 with the 5.2--- the last few weeks I've been hearing a clicking sound comeing from under the bed and behind the cab. I'm thinking it's the fuel pump but I don't want to pull it out if I don't have to. Any ideas on what else it could be. The sound only happend when I step on the throttle hard.

129000---- as far as I know it's the factory pump. I bought the truck used so I don't know for sure. Like I said the truck runs fine, no hard starts or stalling and it go's down the road like it was new. I just keep hearing this clicking sound when I get on the throttle. The last thing I want to happen is getting stuck out in the middle of nowhere. I'll replace the pump if thats the trouble but I don't want to do it for no reason. Any info you have will HELP. Thanks.

Does it only due it when your driving or have u tried reving it well sitting there. Could be a broken/worn transmission mount, engine mount or transfer case hitting.

I haven't checked the U-joints, I'll do that this week. I only hear the sound when driving---theres no sound when I rev the motor or if I hold down hard on the brakes and press the throttle,so I don't think it's the mounts but I'll check those also. Thanks guys, if anyone else has any ideas PLEASE jump in.
