has anybody out there ever tried one of these throttle bodies. They claim 820 CFM, price seems good. It's basically a bored out stock throttle body.

ebay item# 260121001728

Unit defective. Seller only gives 7 days to exchange, but incloses
an instruction form that expects you to run your engine for 10
to 20 hours for idle to smooth out. GM Hummer H2 DIC kept on
indicating REDUCED ENGINE POWER even after resetting the
control unit memory. Almost impossible to meet 7 day deadline
and still follow their instructions. Seller would not answer their
phone or return phone calls. Seller would delay email response
so as to delay the exchange, which (by the way) is exchange ad
infinitum. Still haven't received the replacement if I ever do, and
if it is indeed a different unit or the old one returned untouched.
Seller appears to not care about customers and does not offer a
refund through eBay or PayPal. Which means that eventually the
exchange costs will equal or exceed the original price. Advise
not to do business with this dealer.

Well I went ahead and bought one back in May, or June. It was essentialy a bored out stock throttle body, and the mlling job was not so good. I spent 5 or 6 hours with my roto wizard and a few santing drums, and gave it a nice polished finish. End result, factory (stock bore)throttle body taper honed, milled, and polished 14.73 quarter mile, xtreme-fi 53mmTB (taper honed, milled, and polished (finished by me))14.52 quater mile. Roughly 25-26hp increase. Not bad. But i feel that they could do a much better job on the finish. also I had no "problem" with my truck "adapting" to the new throttle body.
Other mods include MP headers, M1 intake, home brew cold air, Hypertech Power Programmer, 1.7 roller rockers, Accel 300+ ignition system, MSD super conductor wires, splitfire "cold" plugs, 180 thermostat, 3" exhaust from headers to tailpipe, including 3" highflow cat,Dynomax Ultra-flo race muffler, 2400 stall converter, transgo shift kit, Cal Trac bars, and M&H Drag radials.

A few months ago, I also went with one of there throttle bodies. I went with the 50mm ported factory throttle body.

I have no complaints, it is a pretty good unit and made a big difference on my 5.2 liter Dakota.

My mods are a open element round air cleaner, Hughes engines stage one ported and filled beer barrel intake manifold, flowmaster 40 series muffler and Champion Truck plugs spark plugs.

Mine idled real high after installing the throttle body, but a reset of the ECU fixed that.

I did however replace the throttle position sensor and the idle air control valve at the same time.

Just an update on my Xtreme-FI 50mm throttle body. It has been installed for a over a month now.

It is working great, the truck is really quicker from the seat of the pants feel.

My gas mileage did drop by roughly 10 percent. I've gotten a worst gas mileage of 13.9 once and am averaging closer to 14.8 miles per gallon now.

Prior to installing the new throttle body and with the factory unit, I was averaging more like 15.9 miles per gallon.

These numbers are not from the overhead computer of course. I calculate my MPG numbers with every fillup and write it on the gas receipt.

My other mods are a Hughes engines stage one beer barrel intake manifold, a Flowmaster 40 series muffler(with stock exhaust piping) and an oper elememt old fashioned style air cleaner with an S-screw for the hold down.
