also have the same No-Slip locker from Powertrax, have been 25000 HARD miles on mine now completely trouble free. I don't have any noise from mine at all, it worked a lot smother with the stock gears in it though. When I had the sock 3.55s in my truck, it felt the same way that my 4x4 feels with the factory trac-lok in parking lots and slow speed corners, you couldn't notice it once you got up to speed a little. It seems a little more herky jerky when it engages around corners since I put the 4.56 gears in it. I've got no complaints about mine whatsoever.
I had a Lock-Rite in my old 92 Dak 4x4 and that one made some noise but was a lot simpler in operation and installation. Even still the Lock-Rite was far from unbearable, and lets be honest if you are serious about putting a locker in your truck to get the traction you need, is that little bit of noise that annoying. If you have duals on your truck you probably couldn't hear it at all.
