On the OD issue.

My stock 95 Dak with 5.2l 318 vs friends Integra with cold air intake and some other small mods.

With OD ON he will beet me by 1.5 car length
With OD OFF we are even until over 60

I think OD OFF is much faster. I get much higher RPM's when I need them. The tranny with OD on shifts before I can use any of the power.

Good point, but totally different truck and engine.

Maybe my truck just sucks. But I did lose .3 seconds when I ran the 1/4 mile with it off. Now those wussy 1/8 mile tracks might be different because of the track length. IMO.

In this thread, people seem to be drawing conclusions for their set ups based on different set ups - I think its important to compare apples to apples; and oranges to oranges. We shouldn't draw conclusions for the tranny behind the 4.7 based on results from 5.2 or 5.9 runs, as its a completely different transmission. It sounds like maybe some of you are running faster with the OD off for the 5.2/5.9 trans; while one person noted their 4.7 was quicker with it on. Onehotkadota, I think you run a 4.7, don't you ? When the 45RFE behind that motor came out, I recall seeing some posts that said that tranny has higher line presure with OD on - could explain some of the differing results.
