Hey everyone...its been a while since I've visited these forums. Although I hate to do it I am looking at selling my supercharged 99 R/T. I wanted to see what would be a good asking price and if anyone would be interested. It has a vortech blower @9.5 along with many other mods. The truck is very clean and has only 56,000 miles on it.
I can post pics as well as all the mods if anyone is interested. Kelly Blue Book has a value of $10k for a stock R/T....any advice on an asking price would be appreciated.

I'm in a similar boat as you. 2000 qaudcab with kennebell. Many other mods as well. I"m aiming around 3-4 grand more than stock in excellent condition. We're both going to lose a crap of money but theyy were fun while we had them weren't they?!!?

I wish you guys the best of luck in trying to get the most for your modded vehicles, but it looks like people are confused about how to use the KBB web site once again. Even using a club cab '99 R/T with every option available, and calling it excellent (an 8 year old truck like brand new ?) still only gives a private party value of $8885 - not 10K ! A base R/T, again figured in excellent condition comes up $6035.

However I do not think I am using KBB incorrectly. I got a "private party" resale value of $9,655....pretty close to 10K! ($9,060 for "good" condition.) I chose to quote the highest value since the truck is FAR from being stock.
I believe you looked up the "trade-in" value on KBB. To attempt to trade in a truck with roughly $10k in additional mods would be a waste....and pretty stupid IMHO.
I fully understand that I will not get back what I put into it. But there is at least a small premium for a clean truck with a ton of work put into it.

No,I looked up the private party value. Either these are worth a lot more in your area, and you have every option, or maybe you used the dealer sale value ?

No I used the "private party value." The "suggested retail value" (which I beleive would be the dealer sale value) is coming up as $11,380.
I wasn't aware that the zip code made that big of a difference but I am using a SoCal zip....and mileage of 56k.

Yes it has leather and I think I've kept it pretty clean.

I know where there is a 99 RC r/t with 80,xxx miles on it with 3.92 posi, full flowmaster exhaust, cold air kit, msd plugwires and i can't remember what else, it also has a fiberglass bed cover painted to match, truck is close to perfect, for 7500.00, i though it was a decent deal, what do you think?
