I purchased the same but being I have the 2003 Quad Cab same bed as yourself I woulda had to remove the spair tire The inner pipe needs about a half inch that isnt there because of the tire. This is my own expierance I had to return it and get the 3inch single still sounds very nice under thottle and almost nill on cab noise. If you read the fine print on the gibson site it will tell you some models will need the spair removed. The man at the muffler shop said if it woulda been a club cab it woulda went so it all depends on the size of the bed.He coulda made something as in a true dual exhaust for it without removing the tire but i didnt wont that.

Josh, thanks for the info. Sounds like I might want to lean towards the extreme dual exhaust that exits on both sides instead of the same side. I don't want to get the split dual because I have a 3" BL and the pipes may look odd sitting so low in comparison to the bumper.

I have the split rear duals on my 2004 dakota Q/C.the spare tire did fit on mine.I had to tie the brake lines back also.the tailpipe clamps do help keep the tire from hitting the actual pipe.I made a kick shoe to keep the tire over to the right side, and I help guide the spare up when cranking it back.there is a spot on the frame to mount a kick shoe if needed.I highly recommend this exhaust setup.it is totally the best out there.precesion fit pipes, high quality tips, all hardware included, just make sure you line up the tab, from your headpipe to muffler.this will only fit with tire size 265/75/16.part #6535 cat back split rear system.E-mail me if you want pics.

sorry about that.I thought you were interested in the split rear duals, anyways.the split rear look mean, and sound good.people looing at the rear of your truck seem to be wondering whats under the hood, especially when they see 3" tips staring at them.also tighten the clamps from the top,it looks neater, and dont forget to tie back your brake lines with the zip ties that come in the kit.I would use a couple.

Paul,

Thanks for the advice. UPS just delivered the Gibson extreme dual exhaust yesterday. Might be a week or so before install. Can't wait to hear it!

the duals only took me a little over an hour to install, from beginning to end ,and I was taking my time.once the muffler breaks in,it sounds wicked.you can tell that it is a good quality setup from the sound.especially when you are letting off the gas at a stop.
