I need a little help guys, I need a m-1 intake for a '99 dakota 5.9. In the process building a 408 have already got all the parts, Ross custom pistons, eagle h-beam rods and eagle crank, powerdyne s\c 10#boost, 36lb injectors, 55mm tb, mopar pcm, everything but a intake and i heard that the m1 is the best, But it seems that no one can get one for at least 2 months!! So does anyone know where i could get one sooner??

KRC dosent program the computers themselves. They send them to a company in Michigan, called BG Chrysler performance or something like that. They charge $450,where KRC charges 499.Save you a few bucks.

You may be able to use an Edelbrock Performer RPM AirGap for a Magnum. It has the proper thermostat and bypass placements. I think I paid $289 for mine. It would be better for bottom end with a 1500 - 6500rpm range.

I got mine off of ebay but Summitracing.com has them. I haven't gotten mine on yet because I am having built a throttle body spacer that holds 8 injectors built. The first one I designed had a flaw in it. so I am having another built after I redesigned it. Injectors weren't deep enough so that caused fuel puddling.

My experience is that the dual plane is the best for street and Edelbrock is the top of the line. The AirGap Magnum is a direct bolt-on to Magnum engines but you can also get one for non-Magnums.

AirGap is a dual plane, M1 I believe is a single plane.

There is another cheaper brand for non-Magnums out there called Crosswind. They have dual bolt patterns (Magnums and non-Magnums) but have the old style thermostat and bypass. They were going for $139.

How can the edelbrock be direct bolt on when it doesn't even have injector bosses? When did dodge put carburators on the magnum motors?

Does anyone know of a MPI two bbl intake that will truely bolt right onto a magnum motor using the factory injectors that has a lower power band than that of the Mopar M1 intake. My 4x4 needs a manifold with more low end torque than high end power.

The Edelbrock is a carbbed intake!

Selling my M1 w/ TB and return style fuel rails, would be great for High HP Stroker, but it ends today.
