Hi. I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I have a superchips programmer that i used on an '02 Dakota RT. I think it is Vin locked, but i dont know for sure. The problem is i dont have the truck anymore... SO i was wondering if anyone is interested in buying a
SUPERCHIPS PROGRAMMER 3715 THAT IS GOOD FOR 98-03 RAM,DAKOTA AND DURANGO V8 5.2L, 5.9L AND THE V6 3.9.
I know you can get it unlocked for a fee, so it may be of use to someone here. please reply here and i will give you my private email address. ALL OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Do you have access to your old truck? Remove the program. Do you have access to another truck for this tuner? Try to install it. It'll tell you right off if it's locked.
If it lets you proceed through an installationn you are good to sell it for a decent price.
If it's locked it's basically worthless because...
A new one can be purchased for around (and even under) $300. Superchips charges $200 (last info I knew) to clear/reprogram/etc. a locked tuner.
So, if it is locked don't expect much more than a $25 offer from someone to take it off your hands.

When i first turn it on it says VIN locked, but it still lets me go further to the diagnostic/ tuning mode. I tried it on a vehicle its not made for and it went to the "turn ignition off" then "turn ignition on" portion. I hope its still good. I though i saw on here someone getting it cleared for $75.

Unless you used it to remove the programming you put into the '02 RT (you should know if you did that, sounds like you didn't) then it is locked.
