you need 2 sets 1 for front axle and 1 for rear axle.

With a 4x4 you need the same ratio for front and rear if you expect to use 4WD without drivetrain damage.
That 9.25 inch set is for the rear only. The front diff is quite a bit smaller diameter, so you will need to find a set for that one too.

since they are different axle sizes...wouldnt it be ok to get the discount gear for the back and then another brand for the front? cuz the brand with the discount only does rear...it shouldnt matter as long as they are both 4.56 right?

Looks like they must have a surplus on that ratio for that brand. I looked and that is the only ratio of that brand with the discount. Like saving $60.

I bought mine form them. Both Motive brand gear sets and a Auburn. The only mistake I did was not order the full install kit. Finding bearings was a biatch when I did my gears.

I think it costed me $700 to $800 to do front and rear axles including the Auburn LSD at the same time.

Yup, as long as its the same ratio, not a problem. I got the Yukons with an Auburn limited slip myself, but there's no reason you can't mix brands in different axles. I'd recomend the full installation kit too.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Your engine will be cranking over pretty good with 4.56 gears unless your going to run really big over sized tires. I think 4.10's is pushing it.

So many problems .... So little time

well im uprgrading in the future but for a little while 4.56 is ok right? wont hurt anything just might have some more push from the engine for a few months

no. not going to hurt nothing. Engine will wind out faster. well rev pretty high at highway speed. No idea how fast you drive. Myself, I drive 78/79 MPH. Speed limite here is 75 . You buy tickets at 80. at this speed I don't even like how it revs if I have the overdrive turned off say with the camper or boat on and I have 3.55 gears plus gas milage goes south badly. Just my opinion.

So many problems .... So little time

I am still running the stock height (not width) 29" tires and love the 4.56 gears. I have to go over 80 to think I am reving. Even if I stay in 3rd all the way up a hill when towing 4+ k isn't breaking a sweat on a 4.7 even if its for 10 min straight.

If it's on a 4.7, and you have at least 29" tires, I say go for it and don't look back!

The RPM's are nothing to worry about. City MPG is about the same. And a lot more fun.

It was cool I thought. But I think it may slow down how each page loads that posted on especially for those people out there who mistakingly think dial up internet is good enough!

Thanks for noticing. I never got much feedback on it when I used it.
